About

A budget, not a block.

I set every screen-time limit Apple lets you set. I downloaded every blocker in the category. I deleted most of them inside a week, usually on a night when I needed them most.

The pattern was always the same. The limit would kick in, I would feel locked out of my own phone, and I would turn it off. Sometimes in seconds. The tool was right about the problem and wrong about the solution.

One night I asked a different question: what if the goal was not to block me, but to give me a moment to decide? I had already used my time. I knew that. I just needed a pause long enough to remember it.

That is what Offscroll is. You set a budget for the apps that pull you in. When it runs out, the app does not lock you out. It pauses, gives you a breath, and hands the choice back to you.

I built it because every tool I tried assumed the problem was willpower. It is not. The problem is that the apps are very good at their job, and a hard lock turns a quiet urge into a fight you usually lose.
